158 men and women in a randomized double blind trial had siblings with heart disease, but were otherwise healthy. Could researchers prevent their heart disease?

Those people who took 5 mg Folic Acid, which is vitamin B9 (and far more than in most multivits) and 250 mg B6 (ditto�and a dose associated with rare peripheral neuropathy) lowered their fasting homocysteine levels by 38%, and improved their EKGs.
